AXIDE is an outdated assembler that is not compatible with Windows 7. To build HC12/9S12 source code on a Windows 7 64-bit system, the GNU assembler provided on the EVBU support page should be used. The AS12.ZIP file must be downloaded, the AS11.EXE file extracted, and then replaced with the AS12.EXE in the AXIDE installation folder.
